Tiny Hands, Big Dreams Child Development Center believes that education is the foundation upon which a person will build a life full of activity and experience. To be effective, an educational program must lay the groundwork in assisting children to form positive attitudes and formulate ethical characteristics as part of a self-imposed value system.

One of many major goals of any educational program should be to help children gain a positive self-concept. To be successful, a program must also transmit and promote societal values and help children develop a sense of positive ethics and morals. Our program attends to the cognitive, social/emotional, and physical developmetal needs of children.

Meeting the physical and emotional needs of younger children needs to be given high priorty. Basic development needs must be satisfied before one can expect children to excel in academic situations. Child centered instruction is intended to play down competition and objective grading in favor of increased social interacton and individually paced learning.

We treat all children fairly and with respect in a setting that provides discipline, clearly defined rules, and guidance. We are aware that a child's learning is enhanced when a positive and supportive atmosphere is available. A truth we follow is that learning should be fun and consist of proper support and guidance. Children are better able to not just learn, but "Learn how to learn" and develop positive self-esteem. Our students naturally become more involved because they are guided using a structured yet flexible approach. They are encouraged in positive ways to become active memebers in the learning process.
